The Rules are Simple:

Include your name and any caption for the video you might put if you were actually posting this to Vine! Each Vine will Run 3 times for a total of 18 Seconds so it can really sink it.

Submissions are due by Friday May 24th at Noon.

The Vines will be judged by a select panel and prizes will be awarded throughout the night. Best Vine of the Night gets a $50 Gift Card to Jewel for some of them Groceries!

After you’ve Filmed your Vine you have sharing options underneath the description. All you have to do is Uncheck “Post To Vine”. The video will save into your Photo’s on your phone and you can share the video with me via email. It should be a very small file.

The Chicago improv community seems to be missing something AGAIN. And that something is ANOTHER Improv tournament. So join us for what will likely be the most important work we ever do.

The Tournament

-5 shows, 5/2, 5/9, 5/16, 5/23, 5/30-
-12 Teams, 4 people per team, 48 people total-
-The teams are random, decided by a lottery-
-No team rehearsals will be permitted-

GET SET FOR THE BEST KIND OF IMPROV, IN A COMPETITIVE ENVIRONMENT WITH STRANGERS.

Also, a reminder - Subs are now part of the teams! So if you sat in with a team on 5/2, 5/9, or 5/16 just show up to the show and let us know.

This has been sitting in our queue forever! Learn a little more about the folks behind the new Public House Theater

We all want people to say no to their Netflix queue and go out to see live theater. And, we want them walking away saying, “Damn, that was funny. I’m definitely going back.” The more we approach that, the better off we are.

So great.

There are fantastic written shows going up @ The Public House Theater all the time, including our boy Brian McGovern’s once monthly show “DRUGSEX Inc.”

Del Close once said that “the perfect improv show should be like a room filled with mirrors, but not just normal boring mirrors, like a bunch of wacky fucked-up mirrors all reflecting each other infinitely, and also everybody in the room is high on smack.”

EVENINGS OF REFLECTION seeks to make this IDEAL IMPROV SHOW a reality (sans smack). Each team’s set will be based on the previous team’s set. They can bring back characters, themes, locations, fart noises, whatever they want! Eventually, if all goes according to plan, we will trap ourselves in an infinite loop of improv, that first set constantly morphing into trillions upon trillions of strange variations of itself, with only us, the immortal artists, there to witness it!
