The fine folks at theater momentum just sent this over to us! Check it out!
Theatre Momentum announces the return of The 15 Hour Project, with some new additions!
TM is remounting our signature event, The 15 Hour Project, on Saturday, November 10, 2012.
We’re also launching a new addition to the day, Stage Swap.
And the entire day is FREE!
Theatre Momentum is remounting our signature event, The 15 Hour Project. Join us for an entire day of workshop, rehearsal, and performance, with some great Chicago directors. This will be our eighth time running this unique event, and we’re adding a new twist!
In tandem with the 15 Hour Project, Theatre Momentum is running Stage Swap. If you’re part of an established improv group, this is for you!
Stage Swap is an experiment in perspective. If you’re part of an established improv group with a “signature” show form/structure, you will be paired up with a second group, with a different signature form. Then you will swap for the day. Group 1 will learn and perform Group 2’s signature form, and vice-versa. You get the entire day at the studio to teach your group’s form to the other group. Then you perform that evening, after the 15 Hour Project showcase.
Full details for the whole day can be found on the Theatre Momentum website, but the basics are this:
The 15 Hour Project consists of three parts:
A morning workshop (10 AM-3 PM), modeled after TM’s Think Tank, followed by an afternoon rehearsal period (4-7 PM) and an evening performance (9 PM).
The entire day of the 15 Hour Project will take place at the Theatre Momentum Studio (1800 W. Cornelia Ave), beginning at 9:30 AM (check-in) on Saturday, November 10th. Performances will begin in our Studio C at 9 PM.
Participation in the 15 Hour Project is completely FREE, and the shows are free to see, so invite whoever you like for some great, smart improv!
